Updated / Cargo Plane Operated by Air ACT Veers Off Runway in Hong Kong
A Boeing 747 cargo aircraft operated by Turkish company Air ACT for Emirates SkyCargo veered off the runway in Hong Kong after landing from Dubai. The plane struck a ground service vehicle before plunging into the sea.
According to initial reports, one of the two personnel in the vehicle lost their life, while the other was taken to hospital. All four crew members on board the aircraft reportedly escaped unharmed.
Following the accident, the affected runway was temporarily closed, causing some flight disruptions and diversions.
